What We Get Up To
BRS 2023 EVENTS PROGRAM COMING SOON!
Coming soon is an updated overview of the varied runs and events BRS will make our 'team focus events' for 2023. These will also be designed to complement our planned training program in the lead up to our 'On Tour' events.
Come back soon!
SATURDAY SESSIONS
We make our Saturday sessions about the whole experience, not just the run! We move locations regularly to enjoy running in different places, to share the northside/southside load, and to find new coffee and breaky spots.
Saturdays are all about you and your goals. It is a 1.5 hour core session 6-7:30am, but you can meet friends early and loop back for more, or start later and meet us at 7:30am for a stretch and breaky.

BRS ON TOUR
We have a BRS on Tour, it is definitely a yearly highlight! It's also another thing that sets us apart from our competition. We organise a tour to a national or international event, which always includes a holiday tagged on the end to experience the area and have some non-running adventures.
It is a perfect opportunity to mix running, fun, and friendship.
We have been doing this for more than 10 years, check out what we have been up to!
September, 2018
Our first BRS On Tour road trip!  Over 20 BRSers headed down to Port Macquarie for the challenging but spectacular Beach to Brother event. Not for the faint hearted this race consisted of beach, road and trail running with the finish line "on a high" atop Mount Brother. We made the most of our recovery week enjoying the weather, sights, food and friendship that BRS On Tour is famous for.
September, 2017
Six years later we returned to the Cooks with an even bigger BRS group. We were again to greeted with smiles, amazing hospitality, and of course 5 fantastic running events. It felt like home!
May, 2016
Our 'mini' on tour, turned out not so mini! This event is a sensational community run 5 races, 2 days, 42.2km! We had a big crew as the options are endless, something for everybody. We have been back!
January, 2016
A stand out event, not just for the fact we had Cadbury chocolate at our finger tips for hours, but an amazing race VIP area, fabulous staff, and of course the week to follow included sampling Hobart's amazing culture and cusine.
September, 2014
Renae & Matt wanted to repay the kindness of the Airlie Beach Community who supported them 3 years earlier, so they gathered 30+ athletes to tackle the grueling 28km hinterland trail run. Still spoken about as one of the toughest challenges yet.
June, 2013
A week of heat, humidity, and highlights! Big round of applause for our BRSers who braved the conditions to complete 42, 21, & 10km events. Then we became Thailand tourists, taking in the sights and food Laguna and Phuket had to offer.
September, 2012
Our second On Tour event ever, 30 keen BRSers headed to Sydney. This tour saw many a BRS virgin marathoner having a go, lots of half marathoners and plenty of 10kers cross the Sydney Harbour Bridge. A wild weekend!
September, 2011
Our first and very memorable BRS On Tour. 15 BRSers braved the heat and humidity to tackle all the events thrown at them, 31km, 10km cross country, 8km Hash House Harriers and a relay. Plenty of sightseeing and sampling the local food and hospitality.
