About Us

Formed in September 2010 due to popular demand following the 2009 Bridge to Brisbane Run sesisons.

At present, we offer three sessions per week as below:

  • Monday 6pm-7pm from the Ship Inn, Southbank (on the beer garden side)

  • Wednesday 6pm-7pm from the Ship Inn, Southbank (on the beer garden side)

  • Saturday 6am-7:30am from various locations around Brisbane. These sessions vary each week (a long run, Parkrun, strength and conditioning, trail run). For more information on the session scheduled, see the homepage and for location details see the weekly blog.

Our sessions are structured around training zones concentrating on building strength, speed and endurance for key running events throughout the year.

Our Mission Statement is:

"Offer a professional, welcoming and friendly environment to enable the development of Brisbane's running community".

To achieve our mission, our coaching philosophy is to welcome, encourage and offer expert guidance for all abilities and personal goals, whether it is social fitness, endurance events or multi-sport racing.

Our Coaches

Head Coach | Renae Jones

Renae has been competing and coaching in multi-sport events for over a decade. In the last 12 months, she has dedicated herself to Triathlons, qualifying to represent Australia at the World Triathlon Championships on the Gold Coast, in September 2009. During this time, Renae has expanded her knowledge and experience in the sport by studying Fitness Certificates 3 and 4 and taking on a coaching role with Brisbane Triathlon Squad, specialising in core strength, flexibility and running. Renae’s work career is based on understanding individuals’ psychology at work, and recently has expanded her interests into sports psychology. Renae enjoys living a healthy lifestyle and finding a balance between work, family, friends, and the sport she loves!

Remember: In running there is no off season because running is not just a sport, its a lifestyle!
